About Me

With a strong passion for mission-driven work, Melina thrives in environments where collaboration, innovation, and impact converge. Throughout her career, she has spearheaded transformative initiatives in leadership, fundraising, and strategic program development. Melina also has extensive experience in corporate solicitation strategy, grant research, donor stewardship, and large-scale fundraising campaigns. Her work has included launching and managing programs that support faith-based and social entrepreneurship efforts, as well as developing internal systems to drive efficiency and impact.

Melina’s strengths include strategic thinking, relationship-building, program development, and problem-solving. She is known for her ability to implement vision into action, assess and evaluate complex situations, and lead teams with empathy and decisiveness.


Melina is a lifelong learner and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University. She is also a Glean Fellow Graduate, having completed an MBA-level social entrepreneurship certificate program in partnership with Columbia Business School.

Melina founded The Bee Experience due to her desire to support all people, with a focus on women and specifically those of color to grow their businesses. Passionate about leadership and service, she currently serves as the Board Chair of Collaborate Cleveland and is Board Chair for the nonprofit Of Color, Inc.

Startup Catalyst: Transforming Ideas into Thriving Businesses

The Bee Experience workshops are a six-week series and designed to empower aspiring entrepreneurs with the tools, strategies, and confidence to transform their innovative ideas into successful ventures. Participants will gain insight into foundational business principles, including market research, business planning, financial management, and marketing strategies.

Interactive sessions will guide attendees through brainstorming, validating ideas, and navigating common startup challenges. Real-world case studies and guest speakers - successful entrepreneurs and industry experts, will provide valuable perspectives and actionable advice.

Our workshops also incorporate hands-on activities to refine ideas, develop business models, and create compelling pitches to attract investors or stakeholders. By the end of each session, attendees will leave equipped with practical knowledge and resources to accelerate their journey towards building and strengthening their dream business.
